Happy #NationalPetDay!

lifesaver-933560_1280Are you the kind of person who’s super responsible and has an emergency plan established for your family? If so, I’m totally envious and aspire to be as on-the-ball as you someday. Although, I can’t put myself down too much. I did put together a ‘Beezy Care and Feeding Guide’ for the boyfriend in the event of my untimely demise. Yeah, I think I mentioned this dog is super high-maintenance. There’s no way he could keep her alive and healthy without some detailed instructions.

Something that never really occurred to me, though, was what would happen to Beezy in an emergency? On some level, I just assumed she would come with us. But what if that’s not possible? I mean, I can’t really imagine a scenario where that’s not the case, but isn’t that the point? It’s a disaster or emergency, and you can never know what you’re going to encounter.

So, today I’m making it my goal to put a plan together for both humans and animals in the house. You should too. Don’t know where or how to start? The Humane Society has a great article with tons of tips. Check it out, and put your plan together today!
